About Learnful
At Learnful School Readiness, our goal is to spark a love of learning in young children while helping them feel capable, supported and excited about starting school.
Designed and taught by highly experienced, bachelor-qualified teachers, our small-group instructional classes provide engaging early literacy, numeracy and school readiness learning experiences for children aged 3–6.
Our programs combine structured teacher-led learning with warm, nurturing and developmentally appropriate experiences that support children as they transition towards the Prep classroom environment.
Each week, children participate in engaging small-group learning experiences focused on early literacy, oral language, numeracy foundations and preparation for the classroom environment. Through explicit instruction, hands-on learning and consistent classroom structures, children gain valuable exposure to early classroom expectations prior to starting Prep.
With a maximum of 8 children per class, every child benefits from personalised teacher support, strong relationships and increased opportunities to participate and engage in learning within a calm small-group environment.

Meet Nikki
Our founder and lead teacher
Hi, I’m Nikki — a mum of two and a bachelor-qualified teacher with over 18 years of classroom experience across both primary and secondary education.
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to teach in a variety of schools throughout Queensland and New South Wales, including some of Brisbane’s most respected school communities. Throughout my career, I’ve held lead teacher roles and supported other educators through mentoring and professional development. These experiences have deeply shaped my teaching approach and strengthened my passion for helping young learners thrive — especially during those important early years.
After many years teaching Prep, and now with two young children of my own, I felt an even stronger drive to help children build the confidence, independence and foundational learning skills needed for a positive transition to school.
Over time, I’ve seen Prep continue to evolve, with increasing expectations around children’s ability to focus, follow routines, communicate confidently and engage successfully within a classroom environment. While play-based learning remains incredibly important in the early years, many families are now seeking additional opportunities to support their child’s transition to school in a gentle, engaging and developmentally appropriate way.
That’s exactly why Learnful was created.
Learnful combines structured teacher-led learning experiences with warmth, playfulness and nurturing support to help children build strong early literacy, numeracy and classroom learning foundations prior to starting Prep.
With intentionally small class sizes and highly personalised support, our goal is to help every child feel capable, confident and excited to learn.
I feel incredibly lucky to do what I love each day — supporting children and families during such a special stage of life. I can’t wait to welcome you and your little one into the Learnful community and walk alongside you during this important part of their learning journey.
