Children attend one fixed instructional session per week.

  • No. Learnful is designed to complement a child’s existing Kindergarten, daycare or school arrangements rather than replace them. Children continue attending their regular Kindergarten, daycare or school setting and attend Learnful for one fixed short-duration educational session per week focused on literacy instruction, numeracy instruction and early learning instruction.

Learnful provides structured teacher-led educational sessions designed to supplement children’s existing educational experiences through small-group instructional learning opportunities delivered by qualified teachers.

  • Kindy plays an important role in early childhood education and provides children with valuable opportunities for play-based learning, creativity, exploration and social interaction.

Learnful differs in that it operates as a specialised small-group instructional and tutoring service focused on literacy instruction, numeracy instruction and early learning instruction for children prior to and during the early years of schooling.

Our teacher-led educational sessions are intentionally structured and delivered by experienced, bachelor-qualified teachers with extensive experience in the early years of primary education. While our classes remain engaging, hands-on and developmentally appropriate, they incorporate more structured instructional learning experiences focused on foundational literacy and numeracy instruction.

Within our small-group classes (maximum of 8 children), children participate in educational learning experiences including:

    • early literacy instruction

    • phonological awareness and sound instruction

    • early numeracy concepts

    • oral language development

    • name writing and early writing instruction

    • fine motor development activities

    • teacher-guided educational learning tasks

Learnful classes are designed to complement a child’s existing Kindergarten or early learning program through structured teacher-led educational sessions focused on foundational learning instruction delivered in a supportive small-group environment.

  • Learnful offers small-group instructional classes for children prior to and during the early years of schooling.

Our Busy Bees classes are designed for children from approximately 3 years of age, while Learnful Learners classes are designed for children in the year prior to starting Prep. Literacy Power Hour classes are available for Prep and Year 1 students requiring additional literacy instruction and support. If you are unsure which class may be most suitable for your child, we are always happy to discuss your child’s age, stage and learning needs with you.

  •  Around the age of 3, children are developing important early learning, language and communication skills that form the foundation for later learning and educational success.

Busy Bees operates as a small-group teacher-led educational class designed to provide engaging early literacy instruction, foundational numeracy instruction and early learning experiences for young children prior to Kindergarten and Prep.

Our structured educational sessions incorporate hands-on learning experiences, oral language instruction, sounds awareness activities, early numeracy concepts and teacher-guided learning tasks designed to help children build confidence and familiarity within a small-group learning environment.

Busy Bees classes are intentionally designed to be engaging, developmentally appropriate and play-based while still providing structured teacher-led educational instruction delivered by qualified teachers.

Children attend one fixed short-duration educational session per week, allowing Busy Bees to complement a child’s existing home, Kindergarten or early learning experiences rather than replace them.

With very small class sizes (maximum of 8 children), children benefit from personalised teacher support, increased opportunities to participate in learning experiences and strong educator-child relationships within a calm and supportive instructional environment.

  • Yes! We absolutely offer trail sessions.  Please get in contact with us if you would like to book in a trial session.

  • To help children feel comfortable in their new learning environment, parents are welcome to attend the first 5–10 minutes of their child’s very first session.

This provides children with an opportunity to become familiar with the classroom environment and meet their teacher before participating in the instructional session.

Following the initial welcome period, parents are encouraged to say goodbye so children can participate fully in the structured small-group learning session alongside their peers.

As Learnful operates as a teacher-led instructional and tutoring service, sessions are structured for enrolled children participating in the educational instruction. Parents generally do not remain in the classroom during sessions following the initial orientation period.

If additional support is required during a child’s transition into the class environment, this can be discussed individually with the teacher.

  • Yes. Learnful provides families with individualised written feedback regarding their child’s participation and progress within the sessions at the end of each term.

Families also receive regular communication relating to the educational content and instructional focus areas being covered within classes.

Through our private Parents & Carers communication platform, we may share:

    • information about current literacy and numeracy learning focuses

    • examples of classroom learning experiences

    • educational resources for optional use at home

    • updates relating to class activities and content

This communication is designed to help families remain informed about the learning sessions

  • If your child is unable to attend a session, families may request a make-up session where availability permits.

Due to the small-group nature of classes and fixed class capacities, make-up sessions are subject to availability within existing scheduled sessions. Families may access up to two make-up sessions per term where suitable availability exists.

As Learnful operates through fixed-term enrolments and scheduled classes, refunds or credits are not provided for missed sessions.

We kindly ask families to notify the teacher prior to the scheduled class where possible if their child will be absent from a session.

  • Where possible, sessions will continue with a qualified replacement teacher. If a replacement teacher is unavailable, families will be offered a make-up session where suitable availability exists. Where this is not possible, a credit or refund for the cancelled session will be provided.

  • We understand that every child responds differently to small-group learning environments and teacher-led sessions.

If, after attending 3 sessions, families feel the classes are not the right fit for their child, we encourage open communication with the teacher so this can be discussed together.

Where Learnful believes a child may benefit from a different setting or additional support beyond the scope of the instructional classes, this will also be discussed with families respectfully and individually.

If it is determined that ongoing enrolment is not appropriate, Learnful may offer a refund for remaining scheduled sessions at its discretion.
