No, Learnful is a specialised educational program rather than a childcare or daycare service.
Our focus is on preparing children for school through engaging, teacher-led learning experiences in a warm, nurturing and structured environment.
Each two-hour session is thoughtfully designed and delivered by qualified teachers, with a focus on developing early literacy, numeracy, social skills and confidence in the classroom.
Children attend one scheduled session per week in a small-group setting, allowing us to provide personalised attention and meaningful learning opportunities.
While children are supervised and cared for throughout their time with us, the primary purpose of Learnful is education and school readiness rather than childcare.
No, Learnful is designed to complement your child's existing Kindergarten, daycare or school experience, rather than replace it.
Our program provides an additional opportunity for children to develop important early learning skills specifically related to school in a warm, nurturing and structured classroom environment.
Through one engaging, two-hour session each week, our qualified teachers help children build confidence, independence and essential skills in early literacy, numeracy and social development.
With small class sizes and a thoughtful balance of purposeful play and teacher-led learning, Learnful provides an enriching educational experience that supports and builds upon the learning children are already doing in their Kindergarten, daycare or school setting.
Kindy plays an important role in early childhood education and provides children with valuable opportunities for play-based learning, creativity, exploration and social interaction.
Learnful differs in that it operates as a specialised small-group instructional and tutoring service focused on developing school readiness skills for children prior to and during the early years of schooling.
Our teacher-led educational sessions are intentionally structured and delivered by experienced, bachelor-qualified teachers with extensive experience in the early years of primary education. While our classes remain engaging, hands-on and developmentally appropriate, they incorporate more structured instructional learning experiences that mimic a classroom setting.
Within our small-group classes (maximum of 8 children), children participate in educational learning experiences including:

Learnful classes are designed to complement a child’s existing Kindergarten or early learning program through structured teacher-led educational sessions focused on foundational learning instruction delivered in a supportive small-group environment.

Learnful offers small-group instructional classes for children prior to and during the early years of schooling.
Our Busy Bees classes are designed for children from approximately 3 years of age, while Learnful Learners classes are designed for children in the year prior to starting Prep. Literacy Power Hour classes are available for Prep and Year 1 students requiring additional literacy instruction and support. If you are unsure which class may be most suitable for your child, we are always happy to discuss your child’s age, stage and learning needs with you.
Three is such a wonderful age for learning and discovery! At this stage, children are naturally curious, eager to explore and beginning to develop so many important skills that will lay the foundations for their future learning.
Our Busy Bees program has been thoughtfully designed for children aged 3–4 years, providing a warm, nurturing and engaging introduction to learning in a classroom environment.
Through a beautiful balance of purposeful play, hands-on activities, music, movement and teacher-guided learning, children begin developing important early literacy, numeracy, language and social skills.
Our little learners enjoy activities such as nursery rhymes, songs, stories, recognising sounds in words, counting, exploring numbers, creative art and sensory play. We also gently introduce important classroom routines, helping children practise listening, following instructions, taking turns, sharing and transitioning between activities.
At this age, we believe learning should be fun! Our lessons are short, playful and carefully planned to suit young children's developing attention spans, allowing them to learn through exploration, discovery and meaningful interactions.
With a maximum of just eight children per class, our qualified teachers have the opportunity to really get to know each child, celebrate their achievements and gently support them as they grow in confidence and independence.
Children attend one two-hour session each week, making Busy Bees a wonderful addition to their existing home, daycare or Kindergarten experiences.
Above all, our goal is for every child to feel happy, safe, confident and excited about learning, while developing the early skills that will help them thrive as they move towards Kindergarten and Prep.
Yes! We absolutely offer trail sessions. Please get in contact with us if you would like to book in a trial session.
To help children feel comfortable in their new learning environment, parents are welcome to attend the first 5–10 minutes of their child’s very first session.
This provides children with an opportunity to become familiar with the classroom environment and meet their teacher before participating in the instructional session.
Following the initial welcome period, parents are encouraged to say goodbye so children can participate fully in the structured small-group learning session alongside their peers.
As Learnful operates as a teacher-led instructional and tutoring service, sessions are structured for enrolled children participating in the educational instruction. Parents generally do not remain in the classroom during sessions following the initial orientation period.
If additional support is required during a child’s transition into the class environment, this can be discussed individually with the teacher.
Yes. Learnful provides families with individualised written feedback regarding their child’s participation and progress within the sessions at the end of each term.
Families also receive regular communication relating to the educational content and instructional focus areas being covered within classes.
Through our private Parents & Carers communication platform, we may share:

If your child is unable to attend a session, families may request a make-up session where availability permits.
Due to the small-group nature of classes and fixed class capacities, make-up sessions are subject to availability within existing scheduled sessions. Families may access up to two make-up sessions per term where suitable availability exists.
As Learnful operates through fixed-term enrolments and scheduled classes, refunds or credits are not provided for missed sessions.
We kindly ask families to notify the teacher prior to the scheduled class where possible if their child will be absent from a session.
Where possible, sessions will continue with a qualified replacement teacher. If a replacement teacher is unavailable, families will be offered a make-up session where suitable availability exists. Where this is not possible, a credit or refund for the cancelled session will be provided.
We understand that every child responds differently to small-group learning environments and teacher-led sessions.
If, after attending 3 sessions, families feel the classes are not the right fit for their child, we encourage open communication with the teacher so this can be discussed together.
Where Learnful believes a child may benefit from a different setting or additional support beyond the scope of the instructional classes, this will also be discussed with families respectfully and individually.
If it is determined that ongoing enrolment is not appropriate, Learnful may offer a refund for remaining scheduled sessions at its discretion.
